ABOUT US
The HideAway
Day Spa is proud of our Thai heritage and offer only
authentic ancient techniques from Thailand's rich healing
heritage. We have been blessed by the wonderful assistance of
Thailand's temple Traditions of Holistic Healing and owe our
origin to the humble monks of this country.
The original concept was to cater for the local Thai and the
small expatriate community in a natural Thai jungle setting on
the resort island of Phuket. Initially we utilized several of
the natural herbs that the Abbot of the Nai Harn Temple, Phuket
had been using for many years, in his temple sauna. We have
since researched other Temple wisdom and developed our own
herbal recipe for the ultimate in relaxation. Now, it has
evolved into a holistic healing experience that can rejuvenate
mind, body and soul, that is a globally recognized as an
oasis of relaxation that is uniquely Thai.
Many of the finest hotels, resorts and spa franchises
that have come to Thailand have adopted our formulas and
continue to use our Aromatherapy range of natural skin and hair
care cosmetics, "Hideaway
Naturals" and "Hideaway
Herbals" produced here in Thailand
by HideAway Natural Products Co., Ltd.
Since 1987, we have made continual research and development with
Thai herbs and essential oils to bring to the public, only the
purist and naturally effective products, which will benefit all.
The HideAway Herbal Range (our initial range) contain
some preservatives and 2-3 % essential oils whilst
the HideAway Naturals Range (our new range) is made with all
natural ingredients and contain a minimum of 4 % essential oils
in each product. The various essential oils used are the same
for each product range, as experience has taught us that these
essential oils are the most effective and instantly appreciated
by our guests after being applied.
The HideAway Day Spa was
the first spa in Thailand:
-
-
To produce its very own range of aromatherapy products (made
in Thailand) for use in it's own spa.
-
To introduce aromatherapy body oils with Thai Massage to the
local and tourist populations.
-
To introduce Thai Foot Massage as a separate treatment with
aromatherapy oils and lotions, which is now available
everywhere known as a Reflexology Foot Massage.
-
To introduce Thai Hand Massage as a separate treatment with
aromatherapy oils, which has been greatly appreciated in
this modern computer era we now live with.
-
To promote the benefits and use of the Thai Herbal
Aromatherapy Steam Sauna, using fresh Thai herbs which allow
the guest to breathe the freshest essential oils combined
with the steam, to enhance the body’s detoxification, to
relax the mind and to prepare the body’s muscles prior to
any treatment.
-
To introduce and promote the benefits of the unique Thai
herb known as "Plai", which we have registered the name as "Prai"
(the local pronunciation).
